Visa Requirements

UK, US and EU citizens require a visa to visit Myanmar, which must be obtained in advance. This can be done online at https://evisa.moip.gov.mm/

Currently the tourist e-Visa costs $50. Visas take approximately one week to arrive, are valid for 28 days and must be used within three months of the application date.

Alternatively, you can apply for a visa with your local embassy. For UK citizens, the Myanmar Embassy is in Mayfair, at 19a Charles Street, London W1J 5DX (www.londonmyanmarembassy.com; 0207 148 0740). Visa applications are accepted by post and in person (10am-noon).
