Dean and Justine McBroom travelled with us to Tanzania, exploring the Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater, Lake Manyara and Tarangire National Park on a tour of the country’s famous “Northern Circuit”. They had some fabulous wildlife encounters along the way, which are beautifully captured in the below photographs.
Many thanks to Dean and Justine for sharing their photographs!
Phil and Patti travelled with us to Nepal in March-April of this year on a lodge-based trek in the Annapurna region – their third such journey with Gane and Marshall! They were kind enough to share with us some of their photos, which really capture the beauty of the Annapurna region at this time of year – a time associated with blue skies and the spectacular rhododendron bloom.
Amy and Sofia Daniels travelled to Tanzania with us in July on a family safari, covering the Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater, Tarangire and Lake Manyara.
Whilst there, Amy and Sofia “vlogged” their entire trip, uploading a 4-part series of their travels to youtube. The in-depth videos, which we’re delighted to share on our blog, highlight wonderfully the appeal of northern Tanzania at this time of year, and the experience of a family safari.
You can find the individual videos embedded below, and also on Amy’s youtube channel.

Gane and Marshall clients Graham and Lyn recently returned from a light mobile safari in Botswana, and were kind enough to share some of their wonderful wildlife shots with us. Here are our highlights, including some fab big cats (and cubs!) –
We have some wonderful footage of the Rwenzori Mountains to share, courtesy of seven of our climbers who travelled with us to the “Mountains of the Moon” earlier this summer.
Mahmoud, Ale, Shahid, Jassim, Waleed, Ammar and Zubayr spent 8 days in the Rwenzoris. Heavy rains put a damper on their climb, but didn’t stop them from capturing some beautiful footage of the mountains, which you can view on youtube via the links below:
Gane and Marshall clients Mark and Tina Williams recently returned from a bear-viewing safari in Finland, where they captured these wonderful shots of a brown bear family:
We’ve had some wonderful photos from our safari-goers over the last month – so wonderful, that we thought they deserved a blog post!
Scroll through the gallery below to see photos of a rare anteater in the Brazilian Pantanal, a gorgeous lioness in a tree, a gorilla with its young, and more – all taken by G&M clients!

Regular safari-goer Dr Mike Leary-Owhin travelled with us to India in March and returned with some absolutely fabulous photos of tigers in the wild, which we thought we must share.
We’ve picked a few highlights from the photos Mike sent us and included them in the gallery below.
You can view the rest of Mike’s pictures on his Flickr pages. Click here for Tiger photos, and here for other wildlife and landscapes.
In the past month we’ve been lucky enough to receive two wonderful photo journals from clients who recently travelled with us to Tanzania. We thought we would share them with you.
Wild camping in the Serengeti
Josephine travelled to North Tanzania with her family and friends on one of our very special light mobile safaris. She was kind enough to share with us this wonderful account of her trip, full of her stunning photographs (that’s her cheetah at the top of the page!)
Solo adventure in remote Ruaha and the Selous
Janet explored the opposite end of Tanzania, visiting the southern parks of Selous and Ruaha while her husband climbed Kilimanjaro. Her account really highlights what makes Tanzania’s comparatively little-visited southern parks so special!
Many thanks to Janet and Josephine for their wonderful accounts and photos!
Dr Michael Leary-Owhin recently visited the South Luangwa Valley and Kafue National Park in Zambia as part of a private photographic safari organised by Gane and Marshall. A keen photographer, Mike took some exceptional photos which he’s been kind enough to share with us, and which we in turn want to share with you.
