Testimonials

Below you will find testimonials from clients who have travelled with us previously:

Jo (Student): “This was a once in a lifetime opportunity for me to experience a completely different part of the world and a different culture. It was an outstanding trip that will be carried along in my memories all my life and especially when my life gets tough…The one thing that mainly sticks out in my mind is the smiles on the little children’s faces, because even though they have so little equipment and facilities available, everything they have they do so much with. I really did enjoy this trip and got a lot from it. It was a brilliant experience for me and I will always have that accomplishment in my mind so I know what I have done and what I can conquer when I put my mind to it for my future.”

JS (Student), The William Henry Smith School: “I really enjoyed doing the highest classroom and making it to Kala Pathar it was extremely challenging and tough for both me and Mr Campbell. I would love to do it again even though it was a lot harder to walk in the snow but this was but this was down to the fact that the ground was slippery so you had to take extra care when walking. But I still pushed myself to make it fighting both the cold nights and sun burn. It was an amazing life changing experience which will stay with me for the rest of my life and I have enjoyed every minute of telling friends and family.” (13 Nov 2013)

Trystan, Principal of Springfields Academy: “Your thorough planning, integrity, attention to detail and genuine desire to provide an exceptional educational experience, sets you aside as a truly world class professional. Documentation regarding risk assessments were of the highest quality and immensely detailed.”

“Jeremy and Alan are world class professionals. Dedicated, motivated, highly experienced and entrusted to deliver the highest possible of educational experiences beyond the traditional classroom. I can wholeheartedly recommend them without any reservation and with complete confidence to deliver a life transforming journey beyond all expectations.”

Richard Boyle, Head of Muntham House: “As a leader in education for over 25 years I have myself run a number of expeditions in Britain and also in Europe and Africa, but I have never encountered such a well organised and comprehensive level of support which provided such safe and interesting activities… From the outset in the various meetings we had before we left for Tanzania, to the co-ordination of the itinerary, travel documents, visas and the selection of sites, routes and levels of safety that you and your organisation provided, I felt extremely confident in the way the project would evolve.”

Terry Pudwell, Director of Assuria Ltd: "I would just like to offer my congratulations and thanks to Gane & Marshall and Jeremy Gane himself for organising and in Jeremy's case working with Alan Chambers to lead the most amazing adventure I have ever been on. I was one of the business mentors on the recent Highest Classroom on Earth trek to Everest Base Camp. We took 10 young students with social, educational and behavioural problems on this trip of a lifetime and even though we lost two whole days snowed in at high altitude by an unseasonal snow storm, all of the arrangements and plans made by Jeremy Gane's team worked perfectly (a difficult challenge when you have 34 people in a group!) and the trek was a resounding success. It was probably life changing for many of the people on the trek. Thank you so much Gane & Marshall - I don't think anyone else could have managed to pull off such a feat and you'll be the first guys I talk to about my future adventures!" (27 Nov 2013)

Lewis Moody, Sports Mentor and former English National Team Rugby Captain: “Jeremy- What a fantastic trip, both you and Alan did an incredible job controlling such a large group. Most importantly you kept the group motivated, safe and happy. I thought your decision making processes were absolutely spot on at every turn. Thank you for allowing me on the journey with you.” (29 Oct 2013)

Tom McLaughlin, Business Mentor: “Experiences such as we had on The Hottest Classroom do not happen by chance. Gane & Marshall, through meticulous planning, considerable local knowledge and much hard graft, created an itinerary that exposed us to a wide variety of Tanzanian life in a relatively short space of time and gave us memories that will be cherished for a lifetime… I'm not yet sure exactly how the experience will change my life looking forward, I just know it will.”

RS (Student), New Horizons Learning Centre: "After being apart of the Highest Classroom expedition, I now feel I have the confidence to approach new things. I have learnt to take my time with tasks and to enter in to things with a more positive attitude.

During the trip I became unwell with sun burn and sun stroke, this made me feel quite home sick. However I continued trekking and for that I am proud.

Now that I'm home, I feel fitter and healthier than ever and my rugby playing has improved. I have more respect for the people around me and I want to join the student council, so that my voice can be heard.

The Highest Classroom has given me the confidence to become more sociable and make more friends. I just feel grateful for everything I have and will try not to take things for granted." (14 Nov 2013)

Calum Carter, Student: “Hi Jeremy, Just and email to say thank you so much for all the hard work you have put into the project, I have had a brilliant experience that I will never forget, and I would just like to thank you for all you hard work and effort, it would not if been possible with out your help. It's been grate thank you so Much! (13 Nov 2013)

Calum is a student who has participated in all three Extreme Classroom expeditions and who worked as a mentor to the younger students in the Himalayas.
