Enclosed by high walls and set amid tropical gardens, Bayete feels well-removed from the hustle and bustle of nearby Victoria Falls town, despite being only 2.6km from the town centre and 3.6km from the Falls.
With 30 rooms, the property is modestly-sized and maintains a tranquil atmosphere. A small pool offers a pleasant spot to while away the sunny afternoons, while the Ingwezi Tavern offers a cosy retreat in the evenings.
Accommodation
Bayete Guest Lodge offers 30 guest rooms. The standard deluxe rooms are furnished in a clean, modern style, with dark wooden floorboards and white-washed walls. High thatched roofs and wide windows allow in lots of air and light, while repurposed Batonka doors and other recycled artefacts add a touch of character. The beds are queen-size and draped with mosquito nets. Bathrooms feature full walk-in shower.
The larger executive rooms offer additional space and a generously-appointed bathroom with standing Victorian bathtub and walk-in shower. Two of the executive rooms can be used as a family suite, with inter-connecting doorway.
There is also a separate family cottage with 4 beds (one double, three single), and a single honeymoon suite, featuring open-plan lounge and bathroom area, and king-size bed.
