From its remote location close in the quiet south-eastern corner of Hwange, Bomani offers exclusive game viewing within its own private concession, as well as easy access to some of the best game-viewing areas within the national park itself. This end of the park receives fewer visitors than the northern region, where most camps are located, while still having fantastic wildlife areas such as the Ngamo Plains. South-eastern Hwange is especially notable for its staggering elephant herds.
Bomani Lodge is built along the edge of a small pan, with a pumped waterhole that attracts game from the surrounding wilderness. The lodge has a distinctly rustic, bushcamp feel.
Accommodation
Accommodation at Bomani consists of five tented chalets and four tented suites. All rooms are raised on wooden platforms with balconies overlooking the pan. The rooms are large and comfortable with private veranda, ensuite bathrooms with shower, washbasin and toilet.
The large mesh covered windows offer great views and allow air to circulate through the rooms. A canvas flap allows the windows to be closed on cooler evenings. Surrounding each room is a sand bar which is brushed clear every afternoon. This allows guests to “read” the footprints the next morning to identify what animals have passed by in the night.
Accommodation is in two room categories: the Saddlebill tents overlook the Ngamo Plains, while the Spurwing tents (slightly larger than Saddlebill) overlook the camp’s waterhole. There is also a 2-bedroom family suite (the Sable suite), accommodating two adults and up to four children.

Activities
Activities at Bomani include 4x4 game drives, bush walks, night game drives, horse riding (at the discretion of the camp manager), and use of the camp hide for photography.
Child Policy
Bomani Lodge accommodates children aged 7 and over. The lodge offers a family suite (the Sable suite), suitable for 2 adults and up to 4 children.
