Chada Camp boasts a wonderful location in the heart of Katavi National Park, nestled in a copse of tamarind trees on the edge of the great Chada Plains. This is a rather basic bush camp, albeit with the advantage of a superb location - from its elevated position, it overlooks many miles of the Katavi Plains, where it is one of only four camps. Chada is not a permanent camp, but rather a wild bush camp, and is open for only half of the year. Wild and remote, it caters to those who want an immersive safari, not a luxury getaway.
Accommodation
Chada has just six canvas safari tents, all of which are spacious and comfortably furnished. The private bathroom tents feature bucket showers and long drop loos. Hot and cold water is provided on request.
Activities
- Walking safaris
- Game drives
Child Policy
Children under the age of 8 cannot be accommodated at Chada, and children under 12 are restricted from taking part in walking safaris and mobile camping activities. We would only recommend the camp to families travelling with older children.
