Chelinda Camp is set on the edge of a broad pine plantation, overlooking a large trout dam and, beyond it, the vast grasslands of the high Nyika Plateau.
Nyika National Park, in northern Malawi, is among the country’s most scenically spectacular national parks. It boasts a large variety of flora – particularly orchids – as well as rich birdlife and plentiful plain's game. Walking safaris are among the most popular activities, and very much the focus at Chelinda Camp.
Accommodation
Full Board: Six ensuite twin bedded rooms with access to the main restaurant, bar and shop. Each room has a fireplace – it is important to remember that the Nyika can be very cold, due to the altitude.
Self Catering: Four self-contained cottages with 2 twin bedded rooms, a lounge with fireplace, kitchen and bathroom. Each cottage has a cook, a fridge/freezer and is fully kitted out for self-catering. Guests, however, are welcome to take their meals in the main restaurant if preferred.
Dining
The catering is of the highest standard. Full English breakfast, cold lunches and 3-course dinners are provided daily. Coffee and tea are available throughout the day.

The reception area has a small bar, dining room, lounge and curio shop. Log fires are lit in the rooms on cool winter nights, when frosts are not unknown.
