General Description

Cybele Forest Lodge & Health Spa is an old hunting lodge, set among 120 ha of indigenous forest, and with wonderful views of the surrounding mountains and meadows. The Lodge is a relaxing and romantic bolt-hole offering an alluring combination of modern comforts, top-class cuisine and warm hospitality - and all served up in the most tranquil of forest settings.

 

Located near White River, this is a perfect spot to explore the spectacular scenery of the famed Panoramic Route, such as God's Window, Bourkes Luck Potholes and Blyde River Canyon.

 

Accommodation

Cybele Forest Lodge accommodates a maximum of 28 guests in 12 rooms. Each features a fireplace, air-conditioning, full bathroom (including an outdoor shower), satellite television, complimentary decanter of sherry and a private garden. The six suites have all these comforts, plus a private heated pool.

 

In addition, there is a butler-serviced Forest Suite, perfect for honeymoons. The suites include bedroom, bathroom and lounge with television and fireplace. There is an espresso machine and a full bar with complimentary whisky, brandy and vodka decanters in the lounge, while the bathroom fridge is stocked with bottled water and the finest champagnes and truffles!

 

Dining

A full buffet breakfast can be enjoyed in the dining areas, the garden or the privacy of your room. Food is a blend of French and traditional South African cuisine. Lunch and dinner are served a là carte, either in the gardens under the trees, in the dining room or in the privacy of your room.
