Elephant Plains Game Lodge is a comfortable, four-star safari lodge situated in the northern Sabi Sands Game Reserve, adjoining the greater Kruger National Park. It has a great location on the banks of the Manyeleti River, in a region of the reserve that attracts a diversity of game, including all of the big 5.
Game viewing at Elephant Plains Lodge is generally excellent. Game drives into the Kruger National Park are of course the highlight, but guests can also enjoy good game viewing from the lodge, as the pool deck overlooks a busy watering hole directly opposite the camp.
Elephant House is a small lodge, with just eleven guest rooms, centred on a main lodge building housing the dining area, bar, lounge, library and wine cellar.
Elephant Plains offers comfortable accommodation, excellent game viewing and guiding at modest rates. It's one of the better mid-range options in the Kruger.
Accommodation
Elephant Plains Lodge accommodates a maximum of 22 guests. There are six luxury suites, each with a lounge area and a private deck with views across the riverbed.
A further five rondavels are set in the landscaped garden. All rooms have en suite bathrooms with shower, bath and air-conditioning.
