Elephant Valley Lodge is situated within the Kasane Forest area, a short distance from Chobe National Park. It's a lovely setting for what is a charming safari lodge comprised of twenty tented rooms, an open-air thatched lounge and restaurant, swimming pool and secluded hide. Elephant Valley Lodge also has a large terrace overlooking a nearby watering hole, which makes for a fantastic sundowner spot!
The location of Elephant Valley Lodge is both a positive and a negative. Its immediate setting is beautiful – a quiet spot in the Kasane Forest Reserve overlooking a watering hole that is frequented by elephant (the camp is fenced to prevent the elephants entering). However, Elephant Valley Lodge is also a good distance from Chobe National Park (30-45 mins drive), and when you do enter the park it's via the busy northern gate, meaning you access an area of Chobe that receives a large number of visitors.
Game activities are also limited in this area, with night drives and walking safaris prohibited. With this in mind, we can't say that Elephant Valley Lodge offers the best safari experience in Chobe. It does, however, offer comfortable accommodation in a beautiful setting, making it a great spot to relax at the start or end of a safari.
Accommodation
Twenty Meru-style tents are scattered widely throughout the lodge grounds. Some, but not all, overlook the nearby waterhole. The camp is fully fenced making it suitable for children.
Elephant Valley's tents are spacious and well-furnished. They have en-suite bathrooms with flush toilets and showers. Electricity and hot water are provided.

Guests at Elephant Valley Lodge will typically enjoy a morning and afternoon activity each day, with the boat safaris usually taking place in the morning and the game drives in the afternoon. The schedule is flexible, however.
Child Policy
Children of all ages are welcome at Elephant Valley Lodge, but a private vehicle must be booked for game drives if travelling with children under the age of 6.
