Five Volcanoes Boutique Hotel is located within Kinigi district, just outside Volcanoes National Park and approx. 3 hours drive from Kigali. It primarily serves as a base for gorilla tracking safaris into Volcanoes NP (the park headquarters are a short 20 minute drive away), but also offers access to a number of other nearby activities, including hiking and golden monkey tracking. From its guest areas, it offers fabulous views of the Virunga Mountains, including the five volcanoes from which it takes its name.
In appearance, Five Volcanoes is every bit the classic safari lodge. The rooms and guest lounge are constructed with roughly cut stone, chunky timber frames and thatch, lending them a decidedly rustic quality. But in terms of its facilities, Five Volcanoes is more comparable to a comfortable city hotel. The 13 guest rooms are equipped with televisions, mini bars, tea-coffee facilities, WLAN connections and other mod-cons. Guest facilities include a medium sized swimming pool on raised wooden decking with loungers, steam sauna and massage hut. Five Volcanoes offers a level of service to match - staff are attentive, and the gardens and public areas well-maintained.

Five Volcanoes Hotel offers 11 standard and deluxe rooms, all contained within spacious stone chalets. The standard rooms are equipped with WLAN connections, TV, and tea and coffee stations. The deluxe rooms offer additional space, king-size beds, and air conditioning (the standard rooms are fan-cooled).
In addition to the standard and deluxe rooms, there is a family suite containing two bedrooms (one twin, one double) and shared lounge, and a Private Cottage with two double bedrooms, private living and dining area.
