Gorilla Forest Camp is a luxury tented lodge hidden away in the forested foothills of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. This exclusive location - it is one of only two properties within Bwindi's boundaries - make Gorilla Forest Camp one the best options in the area for gorilla tracking, primate viewing and birding excursions in the park.
Gorilla Forest Camp offers good facilities as well as an ideal location. There's a cosy bar and dining room overlooking the dense rainforest, and a raised deck where dinner is often served on clear nights. At night, a campfire is lit on the lawn, where you can relax, enjoy a drink, and admire the stars.
Gorilla Forest Camp is managed by Sanctuary Retreats.
Accommodation
There are just eight tented rooms at Gorilla Forest Camp, all built on elevated wooden decks and under thatch. The tents are huge inside and comfortably furnished with large double/twin beds. At the front is a sitting area with a view, and at the back a large bathroom with bathtub overlooking the forest. Private meals can be enjoyed on the verandah.
Dining
Meals are served in the dining cottage or outdoors on a raised deck with a view of the rainforest.
