The Grand Hotel is situated on Dong Khoi, Ho Chi Minh City’s main shopping street, from where it enjoys easy access to a wide selection of bars and restaurants. The Grand is one of the city's oldest and most characterful hotels. Built by the French in 1930, the colonial-style hotel has been extensively renovated in the years since its doors first opened.
Built within view of the Notre Dame Cathedral, the old Town Hall and the General Post Office, the Grand Hotel feels right at home in Saigon’s 19th-century French Quarter. Inside, however, it’s a very modem hotel, offering luxury guestrooms complete with marble bathrooms and stunning city views.
Facilities at the Grand Hotel include swimming pool, spa, gym and a casino.
Accommodation
The Grand Hotel Saigon’s 230 rooms and suites are decorated in either French-colonial or modern Vietnamese style. A small number of the higher-category rooms date back to the hotel’s founding, but most are recent additions to the hotel. All, however, are generously sized and furnished, and equipped with the expected mod cons: air conditioning, satellite TV, in-room safe, Wi-Fi, minibar and tea/coffee making facilities.
Dining
The ground-level Chez Nous restaurant has a daily buffet serving Asian and Western dishes, while the rooftop Grand Café offers a European menu of pizza and tapas, accompanied by live music every evening. The poolside Bar des Amis serves light snacks, as does the ground floor L’Indochine Café.
