Green Park is a stylish boutique hotel situated opposite the largest park (Green Park) in Vientiane, a short distance from the city centre. Built in traditional Laotian style, the hotel consists of a collection of teak and stucco buildings, neatly woven around lush, tropical gardens of bougainvillea and frangipani trees.
Green Park is perfect for those seeking peace and quiet. It’s positioned in a quiet spot just outside the city centre, and accommodates only a limited number of guests in its 34 suites. It is not the only boutique resort of its kind in Vientiane, but it stands out as one of the best. Those looking for a central location and more modern amenities may find Settha Palace or the recently-opened Ansara a better fit, but those wanting to escape the crowds will appreciate Green Park’s tranquillity. Vientiane is such a small capital city that being outside the centre poses fewer problems than it would in other capitals. Green Park Hotel also helpfully offers a free shuttle bus to the town centre (otherwise a 20-30 minute walk) and complimentary bicycle hire.
Accommodation
Green Park Hotel offers 34 rooms set in two-storey wooden buildings grouped around a courtyard containing the garden and pool, and connected by lantern-lit pathways. All of the rooms have balconies, mostly overlooking the courtyard, or a private terrace and sitting area. Inside the rooms are tastefully furnished with antique wooden furniture and polished teak floors. Amenities include air conditioning, cable TV, Wi-Fi, in-room safe and tea and coffee making facilities.
Green Park’s rooms are divided into three categories: classic, deluxe and executive suites. The deluxe are slightly larger than the classic and feature nicer bathrooms. The executive suites are larger still—two bedrooms and a separate living area—and lavishly furnished. They can be converted into family rooms.

The Sala Nongchanh Restaurant offers indoor and outdoor dining and serves a selection of Laotian and international dishes. Snacks can be enjoyed in the Dok Dala Lounge in the main lobby.
