Situated within the Huab Private Nature Reserve, in the Damaraland region of Namibia, Huab Lodge is a charming little retreat with a great location on the banks of the mainly dry Huab River, a fantastic spot for game-viewing.
You'll quickly feel at home at Huab Lodge. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, and the decor simple and rustic. At the heart of Huab Lodge is a huge open-air dining and lounge area, shaded under thatch and attractively furnished with a full-length dining table made of heavy Rhodesian teak and comfy sofas complete with handmade cushions - very cosy!
Huab Lodge is owned and managed day-to-day by Jan and Suzi van de Reep, who are lovely hosts, not to mention excellent guides. Game drives on the reserve are usually rewarding, with sightings of desert elephant a regular occurrence. The game walks, led by Jan, are a special highlight.
Accommodation
Huab Lodge has just eight stone and thatch bungalows. They are spread out across the bank of the river, each with a private patio to the front and en-suite bathroom at the back (double wash basins and mirror, walk-in shower). Large windows allow in the light and provide a view of the surrounding wilderness.
The rooms at Huab are very spacious, with room enough to allow for two full-size beds. In keeping with the rest of the lodge, a premium has been placed on comfort, and while not cutting-edge in their design, the rooms at Huab are very comfortable.
Dining
Home cooked meals are served in the large dining room/lounge or around the open fireplace. Huab Lodge has a well-stocked wine cellar.

Child Policy
Children are welcome at Huab. The rooms each have two large beds and can be converted into triple rooms on request.
