The Ichobezi Houseboats reside permanently on the Chobe and Zambezi Rivers, moored at the eastern edge of the remote Caprivi Strip. They offer a great way of exploring this often-overlooked region, whose beautiful river landscapes are best explored by boat.
There are two houseboats in the Ichobezi family, the original Ichobezi Moli and the newer Ichobezi Mukwae. Both have been built to similar specifications, though the more expensive Mukwae has the addition of a top-level sun deck with plunge pool.
The boats are small and intimate, though not quite luxury standard accommodations, and house just eight guests each in four twin cabins. This ensures a good level of privacy. The small size of the boats also has the advantage of making them more mobile, meaning the Ichobezi Houseboats are able to venture further up the Chobe River than other vessels. Separate tender boats allow you to get even closer to the wildlife than would otherwise be possible.
The Ichobezi Houseboats are accessed via Ichingo Chobe River Lodge on Impalila Island, which is a short boat journey from Kasane.
Accommodation
The Ichobezi houseboats are small, but with only eight cabins each, guests have a good amount of space; each cabin has room enough for twin beds, ample storage space, and en-suite bathrooms with shower and toilet. The cabins also feature sliding windows which open to provide marvellous views of the surrounding landscapes.
Dining
Delicious lunches and dinners are served al fresco, on the top deck of the boats. A fully stocked bar is available.

Child Policy
Children of all ages can be accommodated on the Ichobezi Houseboats. Those under 12 stay at half the adult rate if sharing a cabin.
