Iharana is a small, intimate bush camp situated just outside the Ankarana reserve. Accommodating its guests in sixteen cosy cottages, the traditional Malagasy built bush camp is a true wilderness retreat, making up for what it lacks in facilities (needless to say, there's no TV at this remote property) with its stunningly scenic setting amid exceptional natural beauty - perfect for those seeking a real back to nature experience!
Each of Iharana's sixteen cottages is built on two levels and features an en-suite bathroom. The mezzanine-level sleeping area is completely open on one side and draped in mosquito netting.
Iharana's public areas centre on its thatched lounge and dining room, where a fabulous blend of Malagasy and international cuisine is served. The dining area opens onto a large outdoor terrace, the perfect spot for enjoying sunsets over the lake and the Tsingy massif, where the keen-eyed can sometimes spy lemur and exotic birdlife.
