Our preferred place to stay in the Zomba Plateau, the lovely Ku Chawe Inn has a perfect spot on the edge of the plateau with far reaching views of the valley below. The gardens are large enough to stroll around in and attract lots of birdlife – the planting here is lush and colourful.
Ku Chawe is a small, well-managed mountain retreat, which provides excellent service in a wonderful location.

Ku Chawe offers 38 en-suite rooms, all of them air-conditioned and equipped with wood burning fireplaces. Each room opens onto a balcony and sitting area.
Dining
Ku Chawe’s large dining room is inviting with a large woodburner for those cool winter evenings. On warm days, lunch can be served outdoors in the lush gardens.
Mountainside barbecues are held most weekends during the summer.
