Tucked away in the labyrinthine streets of Hanoi’s bustling Old Quarter, La Dolce Vita is a stylish little boutique hotel with just 53 rooms. Its central location—close to Hoan Kiem Lake and many of the city’s best dining venues—makes it perfect for those wanting to explore the city on foot.
La Dolce Vita lacks the amenities of Hanoi’s larger hotels (no pool or spa, just a simple restaurant and bar), but the rates are very reasonable given the location.
Accommodation
La Dolce Vita’s modern, spacious rooms are comfortably furnished and altogether very good value given their central location. The rooms are built around two courtyards to allow in the light (a design that is common in Hanoi buildings, which tend to be very narrow and deep). The best rooms look out onto the Hanoi’s Old Quarter, but most overlook the courtyard.
All rooms have air conditioning, cable TV and internet access.
Despite its location in Hanoi’s manic Old Quarter, La Dolce Vita has a surprisingly peaceful atmosphere, with most of the rooms positioned towards the back of the hotel and hence away from the street.
Dining
The hotel’s restaurant and lobby bar/café offer a selection of Vietnamese and western dishes as well as light meals. There are lots of great restaurants within walking distance of La Dolce Vita – ask us for suggestions before you travel.
