La Mira is an attractive hotel set in pretty and spacious gardens. The hotel has a wonderfully welcoming atmosphere, which is apparent from the moment you step through its entrance of colourful bougainvillea. It is located in the bay of Ifaty, overlooking the beach and ocean.
Each of La Mira's 19 bungalow rooms enjoys easy access to the beach, swimming pool, restaurant and bar. There is also a small private beach with umbrellas for shade.

Accommodation
La Mira offers 19 pretty stone bungalows with tiled roofs. There are two room categories. The larger superior rooms have a private terrace and face the ocean. The standard rooms are slightly closer to the beach. Both room categories are simply but beautifully decorated with brightly coloured bedding and clean, white interiors.
The bungalows are equipped with mosquito nets, though the sea breeze is quite effective in keeping mosquitos at bay!
Dining
La Mira's restaurant has been built using dark rosewood and reminded us of a Greek taverna.
Fresh produce from the island is served daily; seafood is popular but pork and beef also feature on the menu.

The following activities are available at La Mira:
During the months July to September humpback whales visit the island and boat trips are offered to take you close up to these impressive mammals. Maybe take a local vezo dugout canoe into the lagoon or enjoy a boat trip, big game fishing or for a speed thrill take a quad bike for a spin. The quieter sports of petanque, table tennis and beach volleyball are also available. Visits to the Baobab forest and the tortoise park can be arranged.
