La Reserve is situated on a secluded white sand beach on the northwest tip of Praslin Island, surrounded by tropical gardens of orchids, bougainvilleas, coconut palm, mango and banyan trees. It is among Praslin's most distinguished small hotels, owing to its stylish accommodation and wonderfully secluded location.
La Reserve is a perfect example of the traditional Seychellois colonial style, which is visible in many of its features from the tiled roofs to the gingerbread trim facade. Afternoon tea is served in a wonderful villa dating back to the turn of the 19th century, which at night becomes the bar and theatre.
The over-water restaurant is suspended on high columns that extend 100 feet into the bay. This is a romantic hideaway ideal for honeymooners. There is also a lovely swimming pool.
Accommodation
Accommodation at La Reserve Hotel consists of 40 (both deluxe and superior) sea-facing rooms in detached bungalows with king-size four poster beds, private shower, air-conditioning, tea and coffee-making facilities, minibar, safe, and terrace. The rooms are all decorated in authentic Creole style, with local paintings and finishes.
There is also a family bungalow with two interconnecting rooms.
Dining
A candlelit meal at the Jetty Restaurant offers one of the most memorable dining experiences in all of the Seychelles – with the sea, jostling fish, and the lights of the anchored yachts in the bay forming the backdrop.
