Laikipia Wilderness Camp offers a mix of acivities, including walking safaris, day & night game drives, fishing, swimming in the Ewaso Narok River, and fly camping. The relaxed atmosphere, wide range of activities on offer, modest prices, and the high standard of guiding make this a great option for families and for active travellers who are looking for something more than a 4x4 safari.
Wildlife in the region is excellent with healthy populations of elephant, giraffe, lion, hyena and assorted plains game. Over half of Kenya’s rhino are found in Laikipia. This is also a great spot for birding, with over 300 varieties identified.
The camp is owned and run by Steve and Annabelle Carey, a Zimbabwean couple with many years of experience in the safari industry, both as safari guides and camp manages.
Laikipia Wilderness Camp is open all year round.
