Lake Manyara Tree Lodge is situated on the remote south-western shore of Lake Manyara. From this unique position (it's the only lodge on this side of the lake), Tree Lodge provides a fabulous base for exploring the National Park, with its beautiful plains, ancient mahogany forests, and, of course, its famous giant soda lake.
Lake Manyara Tree Lodge is a beautiful, secluded retreat, built largely from natural materials so as to blend in easily with its forest surroundings. Its ten cosy chalets are located high in the trees, and offer a level of luxury matched by few other camps in the region. At the centre of the camp is an enclosed boma, shaded dining room, swimming pool, and, in a unique touch, an interactive kitchen where guests can take lessons in African cooking!
Lake Manyara Tree Lodge has a wonderful atmosphere, and does a great job of combining the remote feel of a bush camp with the highest standards of luxury. Popular with honeymooners, its tree house chalets are by far the most romantic place to stay in the Lake Manyara region.
Accommodation
Ten luxury tree houses, discreetly positioned within the mahogany forest, several metres from the ground on wooden stilts. Constructed with local wood and palm fronds, these unique tree houses blend in easily with their surrounds. The interiors are spacious and airy, with wide windows to make the most of the beautiful views. They are furnished with hand carved wooden furniture. Each has a wraparound verandah granting views of the forest and an en-suite bathroom with outdoor shower.
Dining
Marvellous menus are prepared in the open-plan kitchen, and typically served outdoors under the stars, or, if preferred, on your private verandah. The kitchen runs cooking classes, which are always fun and instructive! Picnics by the lake are a delight.
There's a bar and lounge serving a good selection of local and international wines and spirits.

Child Policy
Children over the age of seven can be accommodated at Lake Manyara Tree Lodge.
Some game activities may not be possible for children under the age of 12. Otherwise, Tree Lodge is generally very welcoming to families with children. The kitchen will prepare special cooking classes for children, if requested, including cookie baking! Butterfly walks, which take place within the lodge grounds, can also be arranged.
