Travel an hour from Tulear along a sandy road and you will find Le Paradisier, situated on the beach facing the beautiful lagoon of Ifaty. This is a delightful hotel which is always popular with guests.
The lovely open reception area is home to a lounge, bar and dining area, which look out over the stylish infinity pool to the ocean with unobstructed views. Enjoy a cocktail while you relax on a comfortable lounger by the pool or sit on the shaded balcony that overlooks the beach.
The individual accommodation stretches along the sand dunes with panoramic ocean views.
This is a well-run hotel with spacious rooms and an excellent restaurant. The beach is long and usually deserted but for some locals, and wonderful for a stroll.
Accommodation
Le Paradisier offers twenty rooms and one suite, all facing the ocean. The ten original rooms are built of stone and palisander wood, with double bedrooms on the ground floor and a mezzanine level with a small balcony above. The bathrooms are at the back and there is a small terrace out front. Ten newer rooms have been added and there is a romantic waterfront suite intended for honeymooners.
Dining
Le Paradisier's restaurant offers delicious food that is simple and fresh, with an emphasis on French, Italian and Malagasy specialties. The restaurant has big picture windows overlooking the beach and you can choose to dine on the balcony. Wines from South Africa and America are available.
We recommend the delicious fresh lobster which can be had at a very reasonable price!
