Lemala Luxury Camp, or Lemala Mara-Ndutu as it is now known, offers stylish bushcamp accommodation in the wilds of the Serengeti. It's a mobile camp that moves location twice during the year in order to track the migration.
From December to March, Lemala Camp is located in Ndutu, tucked away in an acacia grove from which guests have a fabulous view of the spillway that extends from Lake Ndutu towards Kusini. The spillway's permanent salts and water attract a large amount of plains game. Predators are never far away and use the grass cover on the edge of the spillway to plan their hunt. Lemala Serengeti in Ndutu offers exceptional game viewing safaris. Game walks are also possible here.
Between June and October, Lemala Camp moves to the Northern Serengeti plains, where it perches on a large kopje overlooking the savannah. The Wildebeest migration begins to appear in this area from June onwards as it travels north to the Mara River, which is only a few minutes from the camp. From this fantastic location, the migration river crossings can be observed without the traffic jams one encounters in the Masai Mara. A large number of herds remain on the Serengeti side even when the migration spills into the Masai Mara, meaning guests at Lemala are able to experience top game-viewing away from the crowds right up until November, after which the camp moves back to Ndutu for the new year.
Accommodation
Lemala Mara-Ndutu is small and discrete, with just twelve tents, one of which is a family tent designed to accommodate four guests. The tents are green canvas Meru-style tents. They are spacious inside and furnished with rugs, wooden trunks, couches, and twin/double beds. En-suite bathrooms feature separate dressing areas and showers with running water (as opposed to safari bucket showers).
The tents surround Lemala's central mess area – six on each side – which has a relaxed sitting area with easy sofas and a cosy dining area.
Dining
Meals are served in the mess tent around the communal dining table or al fresco when the weather permits. The menus at Lemala Camp are set, but dietary requirements will be catered to (as always, let us know in advance).

Child Policy
Lemala Mara-Ndutu accepts children of all ages, but we would generally recommend it to families with older children only, due to its remote location and the fact that it is unfenced. This is a bush camp, albeit a luxury one.
There is a single family unit accommodating two adults and up to three children.
