Constance Lemuria Resort is a beautiful all-suite beach resort situated on the extreme west of Praslin Island at Anse Kerlan, a sheltered lagoon famous for its idyllic white sand beaches (it regularly features on lists of the world's finest beaches, and with good reason!)
Sister hotel to the famous 'Le Prince Maurice' in Mauritius, Constance Lemuria is equally stylish and luxurious. It has been crafted largely from natural materials – wood, stone, thatch and pink granite – giving it an almost rustic appearance from outside, but the interiors are lavishly furnished to five-star standard. It is the largest resort on the island, but as it is spread out across over 100 hectares of land, including a long stretch of private beach, it doesn't feel like a densely packed beach resort. Rather, guests here are given a large expanse of land to explore, encompassing three beaches, pockets of coastal forest, lush waterways, and an 18-hole golf course.
Constance Lemuria is reached by a 15 minute flight from Mahé and 20 minute road transfer. It is a member of Relais & Chateaux.
Accommodation
Lemuria Resort offers 88 junior and 8 senior suites, all of which have been beautifully appointed and positioned so as to ensure a view of the ocean. All rooms have a private verandah overlooking the coast, and bathroom en-suite with separate dressing area, bathtub and shower. The senior suites have a separate living room, two bathrooms, and double terrace. Standard amenities include flat-screen TV and entertainment centre, a/c, minibar, and tea/coffee facilities.
There are also an additional 8 villas, considerably larger than the junior and senior suites, and 1 presidential villa.
Dining
Dining is varied with menus that emphasise Mediterranean cuisine, seafood dishes and international a la carte specialities, served in a variety of locations and sometimes accompanied by live music.
