Little Garonga is a highly exclusive safari lodge located in the 25,000 hectare Makalali Conservancy, just west of the Greater Kruger National Park. With only three luxury suites, Little Garonga is ideal for groups and large families who have the option of booking the entire camp on a private basis.
Though only a small camp, Little Garonga has the facilities of a much larger safari lodge, including more than one swimming pool, a large viewing deck, lounge and bar, and dining area and barbecue. Its location on a high hill allows for wonderful views of the surrounding wilderness, which consists of shrubland and acaia bush.
Little Garonga is situated a short distance from its sister lodge, Garonga Safari Camp, with which it shares its safari guides and camp personnel.
Accommodation
Little Garonga is divided into three self-contained suites. The largest of these, Hambleden Suite, has its own private lounge and bar area, swimming pool, and separate children's bedroom. It sleeps two adults and two children. The two smaller units, the Chiltern and Buckingham suites, share a pool and communal lounge area, and sleep two. All of the suites have their own private decks with hammock. Inside they are spacious and comfortably furnished, each having been individually decorated in a unique fashion.
Dining
Meals are typically served in the communal dining/braai area (where wonderful barbecues are prepared), or alternatively meals can be taken privately on your private deck. Breakfast and lunch are buffets, while dinner is a la carte (buffet barbecues can be provided on request, however).
The cellar boasts a good selection of mostly South African wines.
