It’s three decks offer a bar-salon, dining room, sundeck, library, Jacuzzi and outdoor bar/dining area. The Isabela has a relaxed atmosphere with top quality guides and staff onboard. Fabulous food is served in the dining room and on the terrace.
Guests go out on excursions onto the island in groups of around 11-14 with a certified Galapagos naturalist guide.
The Isabela is mid-sized, so guests experience a more intimate experience; however, cabins are less spacious than on some of the larger ships.
M/Y Isabela II runs 3 itineraries:
5 days/4 nights – Southern islands
5 days/4 nights – Central islands
7 days/6 nights – Northern and western islands
Accommodation
The Isabela II has 20 cabins to accommodate a maximum of 40 guests. There are 16 twin cabins and 2 triple family cabins, as well as 1 double cabin. The double cabin (Owner’s Cabin) is larger and located on the main deck, so a better option for those who would prefer fewer stairs (though note that due to its higher location it may not suit those who are prone to sea-sickness). Cabins are accessed from a walkway around the outside of the ship, rather than an internal corridor.
Crew
There are 26 members of the crew in total, including officers, on-call doctor and 3 naturalist guides including an expedition leader.
