Bush camps allow you to get as close to the wildlife as possible. This page gives you details of 4 camps from the Norman Carr portfolio - Luwi, Nsolo, Kakuli and Mchenja.

Luwi Camp
Luwi Camp consists of four spacious reed and thatch huts, all with double beds and ensuite bathrooms, and set in a beautifully shady grove of mahogany trees on the banks of the Luwi River. All are equipped with mosquito netting. There is also a bar and dining area where guests eat under the trees in the evening and enjoy the sights and sounds of the African bush and a cosy campfire.

Nsolo Camp
Nsolo features thatched rooms under canvas, built on raised wooden platforms. The beds are romantically enveloped by a mosquito netting canopy and there is a private verandah overlooking the surrounding bush. All rooms are en-suite with modern facilities. There is a thatched chitenje with bar and dining area where guests can sit and relax while watching the game at the nearby waterhole.

Kakuli Camp
Kakuli Bush Camp has five traditional walk-in safari tents with en-suite bathrooms made from natural materials. The bar and dining area is constructed of reed and thatch forming the focal point of the camp. The camp is built on an elevated stretch of river bank overlooking a wide grazing plain that meets the Luwi and Luangwa rivers.

Mchenja Camp
Mchenja lies hidden in a shady grove of ancient ebony trees on the banks of the Luangwa River. It is a particularly beautiful site with expansive views over the river. The camp has 5 comfortable thatched huts with en-suite facilities. A grass hide close to camp overlooks a deep lagoon providing close up views of the game.
