Pinewood should especially appeal to more active traveller and those who enjoy water sports. Available water activities including snorkelling, diving, wind surfing, kite-surfing and kayaking, while on land, excursions to Diani and Kisite Marine Parks are easily arranged as are visits to Wasini Island. There is also a tennis court, squash court, gym and a spa on the grounds.
The attractive Mediterranean style of the resort is complemented by lush, colourful gardens and swaying palm trees that surround the large swimming pool. Nearby is the beach bar which offers light lunches, drinks and snacks.
Accommodation
There are 58 good sized rooms and suites decorated in an unfussy style using mainly blue and white colour scheme. Each room has a balcony. The furniture and fabrics are made locally. All rooms are ensuite and have air con, ceiling fan, tea and coffee making facilities, mini bar, safe , wi-fi and garden view. The suites have a lounge area and some have sea views.
Dining
The beach bar, serving light lunches and drinks, is a favourite spot. Pinewood also offers more formal dining in the Bahari or Peponi restaurant. There are three bars and a choice of lounge areas with comfy sofas – the perfect place to sit and read and enjoy a cup of delicious Kenyan coffee!
