Rhino Post Safari Lodge

Rhino Post Safari Lodge is a lovely lodge situated within its own private concession within the Kruger National Park. It offers top-end accommodation and excellent game-viewing, with a special emphasis on walking safaris.

Rhino Post Safari Lodge is situated in a private 30,000-acre concession within the Kruger National Park. It is entirely unfenced and shares a border with the famous Sabi Sands Game Reserve, allowing an abundance of wildlife to travel freely between the reserve and concession. The game-viewing and guiding at Rhino Post is generally excellent. Managed by Rhino Walking Safaris, the camp places an emphasis on guided walking safaris, but 4x4 drives are also offered.

Rhino Post is set under a copse of Tamboti Trees overlooking the largely dry Mutlumuvi riverbed. Small and exclusive, it features just eight guest suites, raised on stilts and built with natural materials – wood, canvas and thatch. The suites are bright and airy, with large windows and private decks allowing for marvellous views of the surrounding bush.

The guest areas at Rhino Post are warm and welcoming. There’s a cosy bar and lounge with fireplace, a well-stocked wine cellar, and a lovely swimming pool, perfect for cooling off in the heat of the summer, while watching the wildlife amble down to the riverbed for a drink.

Accommodation

There are just eight guest rooms at Rhino Post Safari Lodge, all of them built on raised wooden platforms overlooking the Mutlumuvi riverbed. The suites are large and entirely open-plan, with spacious bedrooms and en-suite bathrooms with separate bath and shower (with a view of the bush!) They open onto a private viewing deck.
