Set on an eight-acre plot close to the Shwedagon Pagoda and Inye Lake, this large international-standard hotel has all the facilities you would expect from a good 4-star city hotel. Most rooms have a view of either the pagoda or lake.
The Sedona Yangon is a large city hotel and doesn’t have the charm and character of Yangon’s more intimate boutique hotels, such as the Governor’s Residence or the Savoy, but it does offer good facilities and a great location. It is within walking distance of the city’s most famous landmark, the Shwedagon Pagoda, and a short taxi ride away from the city centre. The rates are competitive, particularly when booked in conjunction with other hotels in the Sedona chain, such the Sedona Mandalay.

Sedona Yangon offers 366 rooms, all of them modern and spacious with bright fabrics and the expected modern amenities (air-con, flat-screen television, tea/coffee facilities, room safe). There are several categories of room—standard, deluxe, superior, balcony suite, princess suite, ambassador suite, royal suite, etc. The higher category suites are not worth the money, but the standard rooms are good value.
Dining
There is a choice of restaurants, including the Brasserie, which serves international cuisine, Italian specialities in Oizo and Chinese food in Dufu.
