Part of the Sopa chain, Tarangire Sopa Lodge is a large 75-room property, set among the baobab and acacia woodlands of northern Tarangire National Park. A substantial lodge, Sopa offers comfortable rooms and a convenient location in a region of the park that is rich in game, but it does lack some of the character offered by Tarangire’s smaller, more remote bush camps.
Tarangire Sopa Lodge’s guest areas are spacious and airy, and feature marble floors, high wooden ceilings and sliding glass doors that open out to a verandah where you can relax and enjoy the view. Facilities include a indoor dining room and a comfortable lounge and bar area. There is also a full-size pool with sun loungers.
Tarangire Sopa is one of the more impressive lodges in Tarangire. It offers excellent hotel-style facilities, clean accommodation, and friendly service. It also a substantial lodge, however, and some may find Tarangire Sopa overly large and anonymous.

Tarangire Sopa Lodge offers 75 rooms, divided into blocks with 4 rooms each (2 downstairs, 2 upstairs). These are furnished to the standard of most hotel rooms, rather than safari tents, with carpeted floors, glass sliding doors and private balconies.
Dining
Indoor and outdoor dining is available at Sopa. Generous buffet meals are served in the dining room, with dishes to suit most diets (plenty of vegetarian options, for instance). BBQs and themed dinners are offered on some evenings.

Child Policy
Children of all ages are accommodated. The Sopa Lodges are very family-oriented, and Tarangire Sopa is no exception. There are some games for children in the lounge, and child minders are also available.
Children under the age of 12 stay at half the adult rate. Under 3s stay free of charge.
