The four-star Vinh Hung Riverside Resort is located on the banks of the Thu Bon River, a short five minute stroll from the centre of Hoi An’s UNESCO-protected old town quarter. It is part of a small, family-run collection of Hoi An hotels, which range from characterful boutique hotels in the town centre (Vinh Hung Heritage) to modern resorts on the outskirts of town (Vinh Hung Emerald).
Vinh Hung Riverside is one of the latter, a comfortable, well-equipped four-star resort, with a good range of facilities and rooms furnished in a contemporary style. Its main asset is its great location close to the heart of town.
Accommodation
Vinh Hung Riverside offers 89 rooms, each with a private verandah overlooking the garden, lotus pond or river.
The rooms are furnished in a contemporary style with polished wooden floors and wide windows to allow in plenty of natural light. All rooms feature en-suite bathrooms with bathtubs or walk-in showers.
There are three room categories: Superior Garden, Deluxe River, and River Suites. It’s worth paying a bit more to upgrade to a deluxe. They are almost twice the size of the superiors, and feature much nicer bathrooms and better views. The River Suites are larger still.
Dining
Vinh Hung Riverside’s main restaurant offers a choice of indoor or outdoor dining and serves a good mix of local and international dishes. The Vinh Hung hotels are locally-owned and managed and there’s a strong emphasis on Vietnamese food, though the usual international fare is also offered.
In what we think is a lovely touch, Vinh Hung Riverside Resort hosts a regular countryside market on its lawn where you can sample and purchase local foods and ingredients!
