The Voyager is a large, three-star beach hotel situated a few miles north of Mombasa. A fully-inclusive resort, it offers all of the facilities you would expect of a beach resort of this category, including three swimming pools, tennis court, water sports centre, several restaurants, and a children’s play area. It is its location, however, that is perhaps the Voyager Beach Resorts’ greatest asset. Just a short distance from Mombasa city centre, it offers good access to a number of historical and cultural attractions in town, and, of course, the white sands of Nyali Beach.
We find that most of our clients prefer to stay in one of the many smaller lodges available in the Mombasa region. Those looking for the comfort, value and relative anonymity of a large resort, however, will find that the Voyager Beach Resort is one of the better all-inclusive options in the city. It has good facilities, great beach access, and a quirky nautical theme that kids should enjoy.
Accommodation
Voyager Beach Resort accommodates guests in 236 “cabins”, which are divided into three categories: Garden View, Superior, and Sea-View. Most of the rooms are garden view; approx. 50 overlook the sea.
The rooms are attractively furnished. In keeping with the nautical theme, they have been decorated in sailors' blue and white, and fitted with ceiling-to-floor glass doors to make the most of the views, whether of the gardens or sea.
Amenities provided in all rooms include air-con, safe, mini-bar, satellite TV, and tea/coffee facilities.
Dining
Voyager Beach Resort offers a number of restaurants and snack bars, from the Italian-themed Minestrone Restaurant to the Smuggler’s Cove, a seafood restaurant, set within a natural cove of coral.
