Many activities are available from Waterlovers. A highlight is snorkelling over the coral reef, which is just 700m from the beach. Waterlovers also offers other water-based activities such as diving, wind surfing, kayaking and deep sea fishing.
For day excursions from Waterlovers, guests can hire a boat and visit the Kisite-Mpunguti Marine Park and Reserve, which offers beautiful coral gardens and rich marine life. While set back from Diani beach is a lush rainforest home to exotic birds and black and white colobus monkeys. Excursions to Shimba Hills Nature reserve can also be arranged locally.
Just a short walk from Waterlovers, guests will find market stalls offering curios and a choice of local restaurants. Tuk tuks are the best form of transport for those who want to explore further afield.
Accommodation
Waterlovers offers a variety of accommodation options, though all with ocean views. These include
8 spacious suites, a self-contained villa, and the Ocean Penthouse. All have air conditioning and come with hair dryer, digital safe, adaptor plug for charging batteries, speaker system, and a mobile phone fitted with a Kenyan SIM card, allowing you to make local calls for excursions, reservations etc.
The 8 suites are two-storey and all with ocean views. Each has air conditioning, hardwood flooring, a king-size Swahili bed, dressing area, writing desk, day bed, private verandah with comfy chairs, and large bathroom with eco-toiletries and bathrobes.
The Bird Villa sleeps 8 and is set over 2 floors with 2 bedrooms and a bathroom on each floor.
There is an open-air kitchen, dining area and seating area. Daily housekeeping is included, and guests can choose to enjoy their meals at the villa or at the main restaurant on the beach.
The Ocean Penthouse is Waterlovers’ flagship accommodation, with fabulous ocean and garden views. There are four double bedrooms which sleep 8 guests. The Penthouse comes with a well-stocked kitchen and dining area, spacious living area with comfy sofas, tv and speaker system. Private dining can be arranged.
