The smallest and most intimate of the Wolwedans’ properties, Wolwedans Private Camp accommodates just four guests. The ‘camp’ is in fact a villa, with two beautifully presented guest rooms, a generously-sized living area, viewing deck, dining room and fully-equipped kitchen. It is located in a quiet valley in the NamibRand Nature Reserve, not far from sister lodge Wolwedans Dunes Lodge.
While all of Wolwedans camps offer a very intimate experience, Wolwedans Private Camp has clearly been designed with private groups, families and honeymooners in mind. It offers the utmost in personal space and privacy, combined with a wonderfully remote location. The facilities are more limited than at the larger Wolwedans properties (there’s no pool, for instance), but the public areas at nearby Dunes Lodge are open to guests staying at Private Camp.
Wolwedans Private Camp offers the same range of activities as the other Wolwedans camps, including guided nature walks and 4x4 game drives. All of the Wolwedans camps share vehicles and guides, though a private guide can be booked on request (at additional cost).
Wolwedans Private Camp is open between March and December.
Accommodation
The two airy en suite bedrooms are located at either end of the building ensuring complete privacy. With huge windows the views across the valley are stunning. The décor is similar to Dunes Lodge, displaying the same stylish but rustic quality.
Dining
Dining at Wolwedans Private Camp is more flexible than at other camps. The spacious kitchen is staffed by your own private chef and waiter who will prepare your meals to your requirements.
