Bale Mountains National Park

The Bale Mountains constitute a 2,400 sq km national park in the Ethiopia Highlands, home to a diverse array of flora and fauna. They provide marvellous trekking territory, though they are somewhat overshadowed by the Simien Mountains to the north. The park offers some of the most beautiful walking in the country with a chance to see several rare species up close.

It is difficult to pick a favourite place but I think Gheralta and the remote rock hewn churches just take it.
