Day 1: Kruger National Park (Singita Lebombo Lodge)
Arrive Johannesburg and connect with shared charter flight to the Lebombo Kruger Airstrip (11:10/12:30). On arrival you will be met by your driver/guide and embark on a game drive en-route to Singita Lebombo Lodge.
Check in at Singita Lebombo Lodge for four nights (fully-inclusive).
Justly famous as one of the very best luxury lodges in Africa, Lebombo Lodge is located on a huge private concession on the south-eastern side of Kruger National Park, close to the border with Mozambique. This territory encompasses four eco-zones, ranging from savannah plains to densely wooded areas, and contains within it a rich variety of wildlife, including an exceptionally large concentration of big cats and a small rhino population.
As well as superb game-viewing, this region of the Kruger, with its clear, unpolluted skies, also offers wonderful opportunities for star-gazing, and Singita Lebombo has been very much designed with this in mind. The lodge's unique, modernist glass box suites allow for spectacular views of the African night sky as you sleep. Each of the rooms also has a wide balcony where, weather permitting, a star bed can be set up to allow you to sleep under the stars.
Star-gazing safaris are another highlight. The guides at Singita Lebombo have a great knowledge of astronomy, and the night-time star gazing drives on the concession are absolutely magical.
Singita Lebombo stands out from other African safari camps for its clean, modern design. Each suite is super-luxurious with floor to ceiling windows to make the most of the expansive river and bush views, fireplaces for chilly evenings and large bathrooms with indoor and outdoor showers. The lodge serves superb food complemented by an extensive wine cellar.
Other facilities include swimming pool, spa, gym, and complimentary wi-fi throughout the lodge (intermittent due to the remote location). Game drives, night astronomy drives, walking safaris and mountain biking are offered to all guests.
Day 2-4: Singita Lebombo
At leisure at Singita Lebombo.
Explore the Kruger on a mixture of morning and evening game drives, and guided walking safaris.
Day 5: Departure
Enjoy a morning game drive followed by a leisurely breakfast before transferring to the airstrip for the shared charter flight to Johannesburg (11:00/12:30), where you will connect with your return flight home.
Alternatively, you might like to extend your holiday. From Johannesburg we can arrange a variety of extensions, such as a guided drive along the Panorama Route, a few days in Cape Town and the Winelands, or a beach extension on the beautiful Kwazulu Natal Coast, a world heritage site. Just let us know what you have in mind.
