Kenya Safari and Beach (Kicheche Combo)

On arrival, meet your driver and transfer to Kicheche Laikipia Camp, where you stay 3 nights on fully-inclusive basis with game activities. Kicheche rates include all drinks, except premium brands and champagne.

Kicheche Laikipia Camp
Kicheche Laikipia Camp is a luxury bush camp situated in Ol Pejeta Conservancy, on the Laikipia Plateau. It offers just six tents, accommodating no more than twelve adults at a time. The tents are beautifully furnished with double beds, rugs, heavy wooden furniture and comfy seats. Each has a private verandah overlooking a watering hole, and an en-suite bathroom with twin basins, bucket shower and flush loo.

Like all Kicheche Camps, Kicheche Laikipia employs superb guides – some of Kenya's best, with all of them at least KPSGA Silver graded. Good guides are what make a good safari, and when our staff were last at Kicheche Camp they enjoyed one of the best safaris they've ever had in Kenya, led by Andrew Obaga, whose sense of humour and great knowledge made every wildlife sighting fascinating.

Ol Pejeta holds a great variety of game, including Kenya's largest remaining population of black rhino. Elephant, lion, leopard and cheetah are also present in healthy numbers, with lion sightings being particularly good. Wild dog are present in the region but more rarely sighted.

Included during your stay is a visit to the Endangered Species Enclosure, where the last 2 remaining white rhinos are located, together with other endangered species such as Jackson’s Hartebeest.

Kicheche Mara Camp
Kicheche Mara Camp is classic bush camp situated in the Mara North conservancy, just outside the boundaries of the Masai Mara reserve, ensuring excellent game viewing. It sits at the top of a small valley, directly overlooking the Olare Orok stream, where game is regularly sighted. Like any good bush camp, Kicheche Mara is totally unfenced.

Kicheche Mara Camp offers ten spacious Selous-style tents. These traditional bush tents are furnished with hardwood beds, ample storage space, canvas chairs and rugs. The bathrooms feature bucket showers and flush toilets. There are verandas at the front of the tents overlooking the Olare Orok stream, and comfy hammocks slung between the trees surrounding the tents.

Meals are usually served al fresco either around the shared dining table or, if you prefer, privately at your tent. Kicheche has a well-stocked bar.

Activities at Kicheche include game drives and guided walks (walks are subject to the discretion of the camp manager), bush breakfasts, and visits to a nearby Masai village. Fly camping and hot air balloon safaris are also offered at an additional cost. A private safari vehicle will be provided for your game drives while at Kicheche. Full-day game drives into the main Masai Mara National Reserve can also be arranged from Kicheche, but please note that additional park fees will apply.

On arrival in Diani, you will be met and transferred to Waterlovers Beach Resort, where you spend 3 nights in an Ocean View Suite on half-board basis.

Waterlovers Beach Resort
Waterlovers is a small and intimate bech resort offering eight very spacious suites equipped with AC, fan, mosquito nets, and complementary wi-fi internet. Each suite has a private veranda overlooking the ocean, while the interior design style is a blend of Swahili and Mediterranean.

Waterlovers offers a sea view restaurant, beach bar, infinity pool, spa, a gift shop and a beach house for water sport activities.

This resort arranges a variety of optional activities, including kayaking, bodyboarding and snorkelling (with a local fisherman providing short trips from the beach - arranged by Waterlovers). Activities offered nearby include kite surfing, windsurfing, diving, golf, and visits to the nearby Kisite Marine National Park, noted for its stunning and intact coral gardens with more than 250 species of coral.

Massage therapies, treatments or yoga lessons can also be arranged.
